All Skills Day Clinic
The KU Softball Coaches will be hosting its first ever Winter All Skills
Clinic. This clinic will consist of hitting, defense, short-game, and
base-running. Participants will have the opportunity to work with KU
coaches Tracy Bunge, Jen Sewell and Christi Musser along with current and
former KU players. |

Pitching
This year Head Coach Tracy Bunge will be holding two specialized pitching
clinics. Power Pitching will focus on the mechanics of the fastball and
increasing velocity and will also teach the basics of the change up.
Throwing Pitches will break down the drop, rise, and curve. Both sessions
will break down the mechanics of the pitching motion and the drills
necessary to build effectiveness. Pitchers must bring their own catchers. |

Recruitment Education Seminar
This year the Kansas Softball program will be offering a Coaches Clinic &
Recruitment Education Seminar. The Coaches Clinic is to educate coaches
and parents on the fundamental aspects of the game and drills to help
improve skills. Along with the Coaches Clinic will be our Recruitment
Education Seminar. The purpose of this lecture is to educate coaches and
parents to the NCAA rules regarding the recruitment of potential student
athletes and answer frequently asked questions about the collegiate
recruiting process. |

Hitting & Pitching Camp
Oklahoma State’s Cowgirl Softball coaching staff will host its
second-annual Winter Hitting & Pitching Camp on Saturday, January 19,
2008, at the Cowgirl Softball Complex and OSU Athletics Center Auxillary
gym. Head Coach Rich Wieligman brings his professional baseball experience
to the softball field where he will be assisted by assistant coach Matt
Meuchel as well as current Cowgirl players. Each session will last two
hours and will include rotating through stations designed to improve every
aspect of the players’ swing and approach at the plate. Each session is
limited to the first 40 campers in order to maximize instruction and
repetition. Assistant Coach Clarisa Crowell will provide a pitching clinic
concurrently in the OSU Athletics Center Auxillary gym. She will be
assisted by the Cowgirl pitching staff. The pitching clinic is limited to
the first 15 participants of each session. |

Hitting Sessions
Learn the hitting philosophy of Head Coach Jamie Pinkerton! Participants
will be instructed on swing mechanics and will have a chance to work with
current Lady' Backs! Learn how to hit the outside pitch, how to more
effectively hit the change-up, and how to utilize your lower half and
create a more powerful swing.

Pitchers Session
Participants will receive personalized instruction from Coach Sartini, the
pitching coach for the U of A. Campers will also get to work with current
Lady’Back pitchers as they work on proper technique for each pitch, and
learning how to increase their pitching velocity through proper mechanics.
More advanced? Coach Sartini can teach you a new pitch, or learn how to
perfect your pitches and pick up a “money pitch!”

Catchers Session
Receive personalized
instruction from Coach Redding and Lady’Back catchers. Fundamentals of
receiving and blocking will be taught, as well as techniques to pick off
base runners and increase your POP time. Learn how to set up hitters and
become more effective for your pitcher and your team!
